We are a 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue and rehome domestic rabbits in the Richmond area giving them a chance at safe and loving homes

💛 There are so many ways you can help give bunnies a better life.
If you’re looking to adopt a rabbit in the Richmond area, you’re in the right place.
About Us:
Hoppy Homes 4 Bunnies is a small, local rabbit rescue serving the Greater Richmond, Virginia area. Our journey began when we stepped in to help with an unexpected “bunny boom” in someone’s backyard. After reaching out to shelters and rescues without success, we took it upon ourselves to address the situation directly.

As more people began contacting us for help, we quickly realized that rabbit overpopulation and abandonment were much bigger issues than we had initially thought. Since then, we’ve helped over 100 bunnies find loving, forever homes and have built a dedicated network of fosters and volunteers.
🐰 Our Impact:
We rescue rabbits from a variety of difficult situations. Some have been abandoned, while others come to us through transfers from shelters or fellow rescues. Every bunny we take in is unique—some are social and outgoing from the start, while others need extra time, patience, and care before they’re ready for adoption.
At this time, we focus on rabbits coming from rescues and shelters, and are not able to take owner surrenders.
Our Mission:🐰
Every bunny deserves a safe, loving home.
At Hoppy Homes 4 Bunnies, we rescue rabbits in need, provide the care they deserve, and work to place them in homes where they can truly thrive. We’re committed to educating adopters so every match is a lasting on
A lot of bunnies end up in rabbit rescue because people underestimate the care that they need. When you adopt, you’re giving one of those rabbits a second chance and opening up space for us to help the next one. Therefore, when you adopt a bunny from a rescue, you are actually helping rescue two!
We were closely with our adopters to help them feel comfortable with the process of getting a house bunny. And if it doesn’t work out- we will always be happy to take them back.
